At CareConfidential we network over 150 local affiliated centres in the UK with more than 800 trained volunteer advisors providing free confidential help for those facing an unplanned pregnancy or have post-abortion concerns. CAREconfidential also has a national free telephone helpline, providing support and links to the local centres. Our Online services provided a direct link to local centres web pages plus self help for a wide range of people including teenagers, concerned parents, ethnic minorities, rural communities and vulnerable individuals who would be reluctant to visit a local centre. The web portal also helps communication with and between local centres, including developing regional and speciality forums.

Online Advisor

CareConfidential have now established OnlineCounsellor™ [called Online Advisor in the UK] pioneered by Adnet Solutions who also created our integrated web portal system. OnlineCounsellor™ is making a profound impact on the numbers of women who can access help following an abortion. Already over 5,000 women have already sought counselling via OnlineCounsellor™. It is encouraging that it is enabling us to reach women wanting post-abortion support with 32% of online counselling being for post abortion problems – compared with 10% reached via helpline and 6% via walk-in centres.

Reaching a new Generation

We work in a sensitive arena where total confidentiality and security is important for both client and volunteer. Online Counsellor™ has enabled us to involve, train and supervise our existing network of volunteer advisors working from local centres or from home throughout the UK. We are now able to develop a network of hundreds of volunteers supporting thousands of clients in a safe and managed environment. Online services, pioneered by Adnet are enabling us to reach to a new generation affected by abortion.
